I want to thank my staff at both the fitness club and rehab space for helping me out after the news of my 11 year old dog passing.

Also, thanks to clients, friends and family for their support.

This week I am looking forward to the MacDonald & Woods Personal Training Rehab Clinic Grand Opening on Friday June 2nd from 11am-3pm and then next week is Sole Sisters Women’s Race Series 2017 Week.

Thanks to Pineapple Events for their work with Divine Dishes, Party City, O’Dell’s Gluten Free Cakes and local clinics to organize this event.  #SO to JackFM for covering the event, Snap Dartmouth and also Special Olympics Dartmouth for accepting our donation to their chapter.

Tara MacDonald is Nordic Pole Walking the Lifemark 5KM this Saturday and the 5KM Sole Sisters June 10th, 2017.

Thanks everyone!

I just wanted to thank everyone for all their well wishes this past weekend at my attempt on completing a half marathon in NYC, USA.  It was an amazing 50 min experience that I felt so connected to all the walkers and runners until my asthma attack.  I will never forget it!  Thanks to Stacy Chesnutt for including me in Bethany’s Team.

We have a new group fitness schedule as a result of some instructor changes.  Classes start May 8th and Sole Sisters get a free class with proof of registration!

  • TRX and Zumba cancelled on May 17 and June 14 due to Team In Training Fundraisers.
  • The studio is closed Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 due to the Sole Sisters Race.
  • Drop In $11.50(tax in). Monthly Unlimited Classes $49.95(tax in).
  • All group fitness classes included with a Personal Training membership.
  • Only 10 spaces in TRX classes. Call ahead to reserve your spot!
  • Everyone must fill out a ParQ and waiver.

Beachbody Fit Club with Christina– FREE!

Welcome to Beachbody Fit Club! Have lots of fun working each week to a video provided by Beachbody!  Your Beachbody Coach will share information on the company and the nutrition.  All levels, beginners welcome.


Functional Fitness with Victoria Weir (Age 55+)
The goal of this class is to improve functional fitness, increase independence and strengthen the activities of daily living. We will be performing body weight exercises and light stretching for the mature adult.  Beginners welcome.


Kettlebell with Rayanne

A kettlebell is a cast iron ball with a handle and provides an effective full body strength and cardio workout. Build strength, muscle tone, endurance, balance and stability in this all-levels class. Beginners welcome.
Mom & Me with Liz

Mom and baby are welcome to join this class. With a focus on building overall strength of Mom, Baby will be used in some of the movements too! This is the perfect time to get a great workout and bond with your baby.  All levels, beginners welcome.


Nia with Amy
Nia is a non-impact, holistic movement practice adaptable to any age, level, and ability. This barefoot practice combines movements from the Dance Arts, Martial Arts and Mind/Body Healing Arts, focuses on moving in your own body’s way and can help improve balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, agility and mobility.  All levels, beginners welcome.



Born in the Navy SEALs, TRX Suspension Training bodyweight exercise helps to improve strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. Hundreds of exercises can be modified to any level using the suspension bands, gravity and the user’s body weight.  All levels, beginners welcome.


Walk 15 with Tara

Walk 15 is a group exercise class for all ages and all fitness levels, a fitness program that virtually anyone can do…For ALL WALKS OF LIFE!!!  Come try this walking based, low impact workout inside the comfort of our studio. All levels, beginners welcome.

Yoga with Pat

Chair Yoga: A gentle Hatha-style Yoga practiced either sitting in a chair or using the chair for support.  Designed for those who are unable to do traditional yoga postures or have difficulty getting up and down from the floor, ideal for office workers, people with chronic illness or for post surgery. Deepen flexibility and strengthen body awareness with traditional yoga poses, breathing techniques and relaxation.  All levels, beginners welcome.


Hatha Yoga: This gently-paced class focuses on foundational poses, alignment, and breathing techniques to build strength, confidence, endurance and flexibility.  Learn opening, standing, shoulder and hip poses as well as twists, forward and backward bends gradually building to sun salutations. Designed to be enjoyed by all levels, whether just starting out or a seasoned yogi.  All levels, beginners welcome.

Yogafit with Tom (starting May 16th)

Yogafit combines fitness moves such as push-ups, sit-ups, and squats with traditional yoga postures linked together in a flowing format.  Improve balance, strength, flexibility, and power with this non-traditional Yoga practice.  All levels, beginners welcome.

Zumba with Amanda

This fun, easy to follow cardio dance party will get you moving, working up a sweat, and put a smile on your face. Hip Hop, SocaSambaSalsaMerengue, and Mambo are just some of the rhythms that will get you kicking your heels up.

All levels, beginners welcome.

Our Learn to Run with Arlene Brinston, Encompass Coaching, starts April 20th 6pm at MacDonald & Woods Personal Training Rehab Clinic 133 Baker Drive.  Enter through the Soles in Motion front doors and keep to your right hand side.  For beginners.

Our Social Run Club with Nate Janine-Williams, New Journey Runners, starts April 29th at 9:30am and is for women who run.

And, our Nordic Pole Walking program starts with Kaitlyn April 18th at 2pm using Nordixx poles and walking the Freshwater Trail. Our first night we will only be going part way, turning at the first lookoff point on the gravel trail to go back up to 133 Baker Drive.
